About the event
In counseling, success is too often reduced to a narrow outcome. This workshop invites participants to rethink what meaningful impact looks like by exploring how identity, context, and professional values shape our work. It brings together practical ways to measure growth and success with a deeper conversation about who counselors are becoming in their roles, building on the idea that counselor identity is formed through beliefs, values, self-perception, and lived professional experience.
Participants will leave with a broader framework for evaluating counseling impact, fresh language for describing their own professional identity, and ideas for strengthening their presence, boundaries, and growth. The session also reflects current thinking that counseling effectiveness includes both measurable outcomes and holistic student development, not simply admissions or placement results.
