About the event
This session builds a practical, working understanding of the global scholarship landscape to help you guide students through funding decisions with confidence. We'll cover the main types of scholarships (merit-based, need-based, subject-specific, and country/government-sponsored) and how eligibility criteria differ across them, along with a simple framework for evaluating a student's eligibility profile, reliable tools and databases for finding credible opportunities, and how to build your own scholarship database for quick reference. We'll also look at how to match a scholarship to a student's academics, financial need, and career goals, along with common pitfalls to avoid in the application process, and a country-wise map of scholarship opportunities across top study destinations to use as a ready reference. By the end, you'll be able to confidently research, shortlist, and advise students on scholarships suited to their profile and target country.
